From Danish ES16 we have recently tested, among other things, the PRO Rainmem jacket, a wind and water-resistant jacket suitable for temperatures from -5 to 13 degrees according to the manufacturer.
We have thoroughly tested it this autumn under changing weather conditions.
Design and details
The PRO Rainmem jacket is currently available in 3 colors: black, green, and the brown one tested here. In terms of size, they range from XS to XXXXL, so there is a size for everyone.
The material is primarily windproof, but there is also a waterproof membrane – that said, it is not 100% waterproof, but water-resistant. This is the compromise to maintain good breathability in the material – but it can still easily handle light showers, though if you are heading out in heavy rain, you should wear a “real” rain jacket. Inside, it is lined with soft fleece, which also provides good insulation.

The jacket features a full-length front zipper, classic sleeve cuffs, and a high collar to protect the neck. Around the waist, there is an elastic band with silicone print on the inside to help keep the jacket in place so it doesn't ride up. The back is extended to provide optimal protection for the lower back against splashes on wet days.
A different and slightly thinner material is used on the underside of the sleeves to optimize breathability and ventilation.
On the back, there are 3 open pockets for storing energy, tubes, pumps, and the like. The pockets are a great size and have good depth – the latter means you avoid things falling out, but it can also be a bit of a reach to the bottom of the pockets. In one pocket, there is a small carabiner where you can attach your keys, though I still miss a pocket that can be closed with a zipper.

Race fit – in all kinds of weather!
The PRO Rainmem Jacket is race fit, which means a tight fit – both at the sleeves and around the torso. If you don't prefer a very tight fit, or if you need a couple of layers underneath, you might want to go up a size compared to your normal size.
I have tested the PRO Rainmem Jacket in size S and that size fits my 65 kg distributed over 175 cm, if you like a tight fit!
The sleeves are the perfect length, as is the waist, where the “flap” at the back ensures your backside is protected from mud and water on wet and muddy rides.
The jacket has been tested primarily on gravel rides and in temperatures from around 3-4 degrees up to 12 degrees. In my opinion, it is best suited for use in temperatures below 10 degrees – at least if your heart rate is high. The breathability is good, but on intense rides with temperatures above 10 degrees, it gets a bit too warm for me.

Conclusion
The PRO Rainmem is a pretty versatile jacket that can be used for much of the winter season. The material is not super thick, so you can adjust with layers underneath depending on the outdoor temperature.
The fit is good and the protection against wind, weather, and precipitation is excellent. In temperatures down to around freezing, I can personally manage with just a regular long-sleeve baselayer underneath!
Great quality, good fit, and nice design characterize this jacket, which most people who like race fit will feel comfortable in.
